History of Bernie

Bernie was brought to Southwest Animal Hospital by the Parma Heights Service Department in 2008 and was about 2 years old at the time. He was found in the parking lot of a local restaurant and was dehydrated and had severe burns to his right ear and left rear toe. He was down to about 8 pounds and was blind in the right eye. It was uncertain that he would survive. With fluids and daily soaking of his ear, the ear eventually came off and he lost the toe. Fortunately after a life on the lamb, he knew how to eat and is now 15.6 pounds. Now he splits his time between sunbathing in the front window and lying upside down on the office carpet.
